Hi,

My name is Michael Malone.  I’m 28 (2013) and I was born, bred and currently reside in New Zealand.  I graduated from the University of Canterbury, NZ with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2007 and have been a Software Professional since mid 2008.  I am an applications developer, though have worked in the embedded arena.  I’ve also worked on a distributed build system (written in Ruby!).  I consider myself to have an unquenchable thirst for programming and development knowledge.  Much of this blog is really for me to wander around to an eventual conclusion on individual topics.

With regards to licencing, all the posts are original work (except where I’ve quoted people, obviously) and you’re free to use them for whatever reason you wish, but I would appreciate being attributed as the author.

As the picture suggests, I was living in Vienna for 6 months over the period October 2012 – March 2013.  That was the reason for the significant slowdown in posts.  I’ve also decided that this means that I’ll stop trying to post something weekly, but rather post something “when it’s ready”.
